MEDVETS is a California based Non-Profit Organization that engages communities through the creation of Opportunity Housing and Veteran Wellness Programs.

Supporting those that have served

Founded in 2015 as a “boots on the ground ministry” helping and supporting veterans directly through donations, voluntary work and non-traditional therapy programs, MEDVETS quickly evolved into something much more.

Today, MEDVETS is developing a range of programs that take a solutions based approach to veteran integration issues like homelessness, troubles getting work and mental health issues arising from service.

We leverage a potent mixture of therapies, entrepreneurial ideals and the practice of “community threading” to weave veterans back into the social fabric of local society.

The HEROES HARVEST

Veterans have been using Cannabis to cope with the after-effects of their service based sacrifices since long before the war on drugs criminalized them for doing so.

Legalization in 2018, and the taxes it imposed in California, ended the original MEDVETS cannabis donation program which relied on free donations. Now it’s being reborn under SB-34 compliant rules to serve Mendocino and Humboldt counties.

Veteran CAREER FORCE

One of the key challenges facing those that have served is reintegration into the civilian workforce.

From matching military training to civilian applications, to teaching new skills and trades - the Veteran CAREER FORCE leverages all our other programs to create opportunities for veterans and local employers alike.
